Praying for our kids
I’m going to speak from the heart. There isn’t anything that I wouldn’t do for my son. I will be his shield, nothing will get past me. I will educate
him myself; he will be smart enough to overcome the world. I will provide him with all of the things that he needs, I will be the perfect parent!
Sound familiar, I bet that all parents say the same thing, but we all know that we cannot be anywhere near this good for our kids. The truth is we
live in a world that is beyond our control. If we are lucky, our children live long enough to become adults. I will not even mention all of the
problems that can attack children today. So, what do we really want for our children, what should be our goal? I want to spend eternity with mine,
that’s my goal. There is nothing on this earth that I can do to insure his life last that long. Why do we limit ourselves to the physical realm when our
goal is eternity? Prayer unlocks the spiritual power of God and our faith in him. It seems logical to me that I must appeal to God for the help I need
to become a perfect parent on earth. My God is the only one that can get my son from earth to heaven. I challenge you to identify the biggest threats
to your children today and pray (with us, every night) for God to take care of them personally. Then watch God work in the lives of our children
right before your eyes. Please add your name and e-mail to our list. Then send any concerns you have for your children to apamplin@tds.net. I will
then make sure your concerns get into the hands of other praying parents. Try to imagine how powerful 10 praying parents will be.
